There just is no better place to have a cuppa, a meal, and a chat! We take our 90 year old mum to brunch every Friday, and she loves it. The staff are so cheerful, thoughtful, and empathetic. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We 1st became aware of Surfleet Tonic 44 by accident when I was arranging a wake for a family member of ours. I'm so pleased that we found Surfleet Tonic 44 as the whole place is bright and has a cheerful warming atmosphere. Since the wake, we have recommended Surfleet Tonic 44 to everyone. The prices are very reasonable, the staff can cater for all allergies and they work extremely hard, just so that everyone has the best time.
Surfleet Tonic 44 also holds activities for various different charities such as onset Dementia, friendship fellowship, Marjong groups, and many more. The staff can accommodate wheelchairs and people with mobility problems, and there is a disabled toilet and baby facilities. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to.

Tonic 44 have held a birthday celebration for us today and it was fantastic!
The team were all so lovely and welcoming, the food and facilities were spot on.
They went above and beyond with catering for food allergies and intolerances. I have to avoid dairy, egg and gluten but they came up with a fabulous little menu for me, all prepared separately and served away from the main buffet.
Thank you to the whole team for making us feel welcome ✨

Called in last Sunday morning on a fairly warm day to be greeted with a nice bowl of cool water for our two dogs which they enjoyed as we sat in the garden area at the rear.
I had the sausage bap and a latte, whilst my partner had a bacon sandwich and mint tea….the dogs absolutely devoured their ‘special’ doggie sausages, a lovely touch.
The staff were extremely pleasant both the manager and the young man who bought us out our food and drinks
We do like to support local businesses and this was well worth the short drive from Cowbit, there is a nice park next door to the cafe for you to walk off the food you have eaten….including the doggie sausages !
We will definitely visit again, we’ll worth 5 stars !!

Luke warm tea and a bacon roll with cold fatty bacon in a roll which has clearly suffered freezer burn.. All for a bargain price of £3.25.. Won't be stopping in for the Saturday morning hockey session wait again. Hot drinks are never hot but I've persevered each week to support but no more. Flask for me now, sorry 😞
