Nice modern crematorium set in the South Lincolnshire fens near Surfleet. The gardens are well maintained and there is ample parking.

Been open approximately 7 and a half years now, as of February 2023.
Modern but plain inside. Bright as all glass on one side of the chapel with professionally downloaded music and family tributes, videos and photographs.
Firm but covered seating holding approximately 100 people seated, more regarding standing room in the entrance area.
Cool in the summer, and warm in the winter. Covered canopy regarding unloading the loved one from the hearse. No waiting room, usual toilets including a disabled toilet.
Pleasant approach up the drive with grassed area's and hedging, and saplings growing all around the crematorium. Small carpark, so when two large funerals follow on from each other you may be directed by staff onto the grass verges off the drive, but only when instructed by the crematorium staff.

Lost my dad in July but just before we were about to enter for his funeral a lady in the entrance said too many people had arrived and had to be under 30 guests including the family.
I then had to ask 2 family members to leave so the funeral could go ahead . My memories of that day are my dad being unloaded from the hearse whilst trying to decided who I should ask to leave !
Non of us were very happy with this lady why did she wait until last minute to create havoc?
We understand the rules due to covid ,it was the way she spoke to us I don’t understand .

We had a lovely service here for my Dad to day.
Unfortunately a member of staff all most spoilt the funeral before it got started by shouting there were too many people! Saying “I’ve counted 30 people I can’t let that many in”. Another count up was done and the appropriate 28 people was counted. The same person said “people must be moving about in the car park, I’ll count them as they come in”
Can I suggest that at this difficult time when numbers are restricted that you don’t count people in the car park and you use a bit more discretion when dealing with a mourning family!

I visited here this morning to leave some Roses for my dearly loved Dad.
The sun was shining & there was frost on the lawns.
It was beautiful.
